Frequently Asked Question

  • Taking the first step towards therapy can feel daunting. You might have questions about how it works or feel uncertain about committing time and energy to yourself.

For this reason, we will start with a free 15-minute consultation via telephone call or online video call to discuss your needs, answer your questions, and see if we are a good fit.

  • Your first therapy session is an initial assessment and an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin our journey together. Here’s what you can generally expect:

    1. Introduction: We’ll start with introductions, and I’ll provide an overview of the therapeutic process.

    2. Confidentiality Discussion: We’ll discuss the importance of confidentiality and the limits to it, ensuring you feel comfortable and informed.

    3. Your Concerns: You’ll have the chance to share the concerns or issues that bring you to therapy, and we’ll explore your goals and expectations.

    4. Collaborative Planning: Together, we’ll discuss your treatment plan and develop a collaborative plan tailored to your needs.

    5. Questions and Clarifications: Feel free to ask any questions or seek clarifications about the therapeutic process.

Remember, the first session is an exploration, and we will work together to create a comfortable and supportive space for your therapeutic journey.
